This year’s Great Escape Festival – which runs from 14th to 16th May in Brighton, England – promises to be hugely exciting, with a line-up topping 300 local and international artists, showcased in 34 venues over three days.

Recent additions to an already impressive array of musical talent include indie-stalwarts The Charlatans and Idlewild, as well fresh-faced upstarts Bombay Bicycle Club. Also on the bill are British Sea Power, The Rumble Strips, Evan Dando, The Mystery Jets and Holy Fuck.

While there are plenty of big names, the real selling point of the Great Escape remains the sheer amount of new talent on show. Look out for Oxford-based folksters Mumford & Sons, speed-merchants London bLaCkMaRkEt and sexy acoustic duo Smoke Fairies.

With good rail links from Gatwick and London, Brighton provides the perfect backdrop with its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The venues are also top notch!

In addition to the standard fare of bands, a wristband gets you access to outdoor gigs, afternoon shows, club nights, and after parties.
